Jennifer Singleton, born 1988, pleaded guilty to one charge of being in a vehicle while knowing a prohibited firearm was also in the vehicle at the Vernon courthouse, Dec. 8. Crown prosecutors stayed 13 other charges against her. She was sentenced to a conditional discharge and 12 months probation, as well as a 10-year firearms ban. The sentence means that provided Singleton does not breach the conditions of her probation she will not have a criminal record.
