Traffic Infringements in Darwin area

Northern Territory Police are again reminding motorists to drive more responsibly on our roads. On Friday and Saturday night, Police issued 47 separate infringement notices for traffic-related offences in the Darwin rural area. Officer In Charge of Darwin Traffic Operations, Senior Sergeant John Ginnane said, “The vast majority of these offenders were driving at dusk and at night on and around Fog Bay Road in the rural area. Some were speeding, some were drunk and exceedingly so. Some were unrestrained as were their passengers, including children, and some were combinations of all those behaviours which inevitably lead to death and disfigurement.

Date Time Police lay charges over drink driving in Knuckey Lagoon Northern Territory Police charged a man for a number of driving offences after a crash on Vanderlin Drive yesterday afternoon. At around 1:30pm, a 52-year-old driver rear ended another vehicle at the intersection of Agostini Road and Vanderlin Drive. The man was found to have been disqualified from driving a motor vehicle, and after a preliminary breath test was conducted he returned a roadside reading of 0.168%. A drug test also returned a positive result. He was arrested and later charged by police from Darwin Traffic Operations with: 1 x Drive without due care
