DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Machine Gun Kelly and Black Pumas are also slated to play.
Atlanta s Music Midtown Festival is ready for a reboot. The popular downtown gathering that took a year off in 2020 due to the pandemic is ready to roar back this fall with a lineup packed with superstar voices. Among the headliners for the Sept. 18-19 event at Piedmont Park are Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, 21 Savage and DaBaby.
Other acts slated to appear include: Megan Thee Stallion, Machine Gun Kelly, Black Pumas, Jack Harlow, AJR, Yungblud, Bleachers, Dashboard Confessional, Surfaces, Lauv, 24KGoldn, Latto, Oliver Tree, Tierra Whack and Omar Apollo. Tickets purchased for the 2020 edition will be honored and organizers said that a limited number of general admission passes are on sale now before the prices go up on Friday (June 4) at 10 a.m ET.
As COVID fades (fingers crossed), South Florida live-music fans are circling shows by Travis Scott, Dave Matthews, Alanis Morrisette, Thomas Rhett, Green Day, John Legend and Dashboard Confessional.
The festival has also announced the creation of Fundació Primavera Sound with an initial endowment of 200,000 euros. The aim of the endowment is to bring together the corporate social responsibility actions of the festival, the day-to-day life of Sant Adrià de Besòs and the neighbourhoods of Besòs i el Maresma and Diagonal Mar, where its headquarters will be located.
According to a May 21 website post, the foundation’s headquarters will be “a space where music, education, social integration, feminism and sustainability meet to become the focus of the new institution.”
