A man was arrested Sunday night on Dixie State University s campus after allegedly contacting a woman over 300 times and blocking her car with his own to prevent her from leaving.
Abraham Torres, 20, was booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility on one count of stalking and one count of failure to stop at the command of law enforcement, both Class A misdemeanors; one count each of unlawful detention, criminal trespass and electronic communication harassment, all Class B misdemeanors; and a count of giving false personal information to law enforcement, a Class C misdemeanor.
He is currently being held without bail, as Torres told police that if released he would go back to the victim, according to charging documents.
