Following the launch of its Digital Excellence Academy in February, Unitas Wholesale has announced plans for its next module which will focus on social media guidance for its wholesalers.
The Academy was developed to offer advice and support to the buying groupâs members across a wide selection of digitally related topics important for wholesale businesses and their customers. Th programme of activities will include a series of events, tools and workshops taking place throughout the year to âdrive digital excellence across the membershipâ.
The inaugural event, in partnership with Lumina Intelligence, saw over 80 delegates take part in a live webinar dedicated to best practice for B2B transactional platforms.
The five-day event kicks off on 10 May
Unitas Wholesale will run a week-long series of social media seminars for its members as the next instalment of its Digital Excellence Academy.
‘Get Social’ will kick off with an introductory webinar on 5 May followed by the five-day campaign, which will begin on 10 May.
The workshops will include tutorials on driving sales through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, the psychology of social media content, advertising, protecting your accounts, and new social networks.
In addition, Unitas members will receive a daily ‘Get Social’ email containing a video with supporting information each morning of the course.
Unitas Wholesale has hosted its first Digital Excellence Academy webinar in partnership with Lumina Intelligence.
The inaugural online event took place on 2 February, with more than 80 delegates representing the buying group’s 24 members.
The event focused on best practice for B2B wholesale transactional platforms for wholesalers serving retail customers. It covered the importance of online e-commerce and what retail customers really want from a wholesaler’s website or app. The principles were illustrated using live examples of how Unitas Wholesale members measure up against industry competition.
Unitas members were given a range of tools to provide further guidance and practical support, including a ‘Tops Tips’ pack containing additional category-specific advice from sponsoring suppliers including Boost, CYT, Kellogg’s, Mars Petcare, McVitie’s, Nestlé Beverages & Confectionery, P&G, Pernod Ricard and Premier Foods.
