NLMK wins international award for employee app Published 19th July, 2021 by Matthew Moggridge Russian steelmaker NLMK Group, the largest steelmaker in Russia and one of the most efficient in the world, has been named a Gold Winner of the Step Two Intranet and Digital Workplace Awards 2021. The company received the accolade for developing a mobile app for its employees that boosts the efficiency of intra-corporate communications and the usability of corporate services for staff. The mobile app is integrated with NLMK’s corporate intranet portal and offers employees access to all the required services, including the news feed, vacation request management and submitting applications to the ‘Bank of Ideas’, placing requests for PPE, and instant registration of safety violations, among others. The functionality of the app is constantly upgraded to add new services based on analyzing employee requests.
