MABUX: Bunker market this morning, Mar.17, 2021 MABUX World Bunker Index (consists of a range of prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO in the main world hubs) continued slight downward movement on Mar.16: 380 HSFO – USD/MT – 433.37 (-1.71) VLSFO – USD/MT – 536.80 (-3.09) MGO – USD/MT – 607.27 (-3.34) As of March 16, a correlation of MBP Index (Market Bunker Prices) vs DBP Index (Digital Bunker Prices = MABUX Digital Benchmark) in four largest global hubs showed that 380 HSFO fuel remained undervalued in all selected ports ranging from minus $ 4 (Houston) to minus $ 24 (Rotterdam and Singapore). Two ports, according to DBP Index, showed an underestimation of VLSFO fuel: minus $ 13 in Rotterdam and minus $ 27 in Singapore. In Fujairah, MBP and DBP indices were correlated 100%.
