ROCHESTER, Minn. Gov. Tim Walz came to the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester on Thursday, July 8 to hail what he called once-in-a-generation legislation that would benefit working and low-income parents.

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX47) Thursday, Governor Walz traveled to the Med-City to celebrate the recent passing of the children and family services budget.
The governor began his visit to Rochester with a tour of the local Boys and Girls Club and told us he was looking forward to interacting with kids in a school setting again, laughing and playing.
“Minnesota’s care for its littlest ones during COVID was ranked first of the 50 states,” stated Walz.
He attributes that success to the food safety programs put in place and the overall commitment to children.
He highlighted the reasons for focusing on children and families within Minnesota’s COVID-10 Recovery budget.
