PENSACOLA, Fla. DeVante’ Jones had 20 points as Coastal Carolina topped Troy 86-68 in the second round of the Sun Belt Conference Tourney on Saturday night.
Garrick Green had 15 points for Coastal Carolina (16-6). Deanthony Tipler added 13 points. Tyrik Dixon had 13 points and eight rebounds.
The Chanticleers play Appalachian State in the semifinals Sunday.
Zay Williams had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Trojans (11-17). Duke Miles added 14 points. Jakevan Leftridge had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Troy s 91 points are a season high. The Trojans entered as the East Division s sixth seed and UTA as No. 3 in the West Division. Troy faces Coastal Carolina, the east s second seed on Saturday. Miles shot 10 for 12 from the foul line and distributed nine assists. Desmond Williams scored 20 points for the Trojans (11-16) and grabbed seven rebounds. Khalyl Waters scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and Nick Stampley scored 10 with 10 rebounds. David Azore had 21 points for the Mavericks (13-13), Shahada Wells scored 19 and Jordan Phillips 11.

TROY, AL â The Coastal Carolina University menâs basketball team completed a weekend road sweep over Troy with a 76-71 victory late Saturday afternoon in the Trojan Arena.
Essam Mostafa followed last nightâs double-double with another in Saturdayâs action, his seventh of the season, with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
He had plenty of help as five players reached double-digits. DeVanteâ Jones scored a team-high 23 points, but did more than just score, finishing the game with nine rebounds, two steals, and a single-game career-high three blocked shots.
