SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. Four of South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue’s recently hired firefighters finished their one month in house academy on Feb. 26, and were welcomed to the agency after receiving the firefighter oath from Chief Clive Savacool.

The comprehensive research guide is based on an assessment of 194 accredited colleges and universities in the nation. The 2021 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment and leading third party evaluations. Intelligent.com analyzed 194 schools, on a scale of 0 to 100, with only 50 making it to the final list. The methodology also uses an algorithm which collects and analyzes multiple rankings into one score to easily compare each school.
Coleen Reynolds, an artist and resident of Carson City won the Best of Theme award in the extraordinarily competitive February 2021 Memberâs exhibition âNew Beginningsâ held virtually in February, on The San Diego Watercolor Society website, www.sdws.org.
Reynoldâs painting entitled âMom Trainâ was selected by juror Julie Davis for this honor, out of more than 300 entries.
âI really loved this piece. It looks to be from a very old family photo used as reference. The treatment of the background spaces was great. Great use of the text elements to draw the viewerâs eye in; the vertical columns were great additions,â Davis said of the painting.
