AUSTIN, TX Austin police have arrested a second suspect linked to the April shooting death of Kedarius Griffin in North Austin.
Cornelius Tyrone Jr Cooks, 22, was arrested Tuesday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in connection to the April 14th homicide at 9414 N. Lamar Boulevard, authorities said Wednesday.
Cook was arrested without incident in the 2900 block of West Anderson Lane. He faces a first-degree felony murder charge with a $300,000 bond. As of Thursday, Cooks was still booked in Travis County Jail.

AUSTIN, Texas - An investigation is now underway after an inmate died Friday night at the Travis County Correctional Complex.
The Travis County Sheriff s Office says that a corrections officer was conducting visual checks on April 30 when they noticed 39-year-old Nicholas Vanwhye of Austin was unresponsive in his cell.

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department is asking for the public s help in finding the remaining suspect in a North Austin fatal shooting in mid-April.
APD is looking for 22-year-old Cornelius Cooks in connection with the April 14 shooting of 18-year-old Kedarius Griffin. Cooks is known to frequent the Galveston and Houston areas.

21-year-old Warren Mitchell III was apprehended by US Marshals in the 8200 block of East Shelly Drive in Tulsa, Okla. Mitchell has been charged with first-degree murder and his bond has been set at $500,000.
The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to confirm the man’s identity.
On Friday, the sheriff s office released information on the incident and said search crews were still looking for a missing swimmer. Authorities said rescue crews were called around 3:10 pm on April 17 after a swimmer went missing. The man had been swimming near a boat anchored in Devil s Cove, where that water is about 35 feet deep and murky because of silt.
First responders immediately began rescue efforts but were unsuccessful so authorities shifted to a recovery mission.
The sheriff s department performed surface searches, deployed a dive team and used sonar and drone technology in its search effort.
