University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, recently held spring commencement ceremonies with students from 40 states and territories as well as multiple countries, including Canada, Gambia, India, Jamaica, Madagascar, Serbia, Spain, Taiwan, and Ukraine, among others graduating.
Local students in the Class of 2021 included Donald Varble, of Hanover, who completed a Master of Arts Education in Teacher Leader; Kelly Simmons of Bedford, Kentucky, who completed Education Specialist in Supervisor of Instruction; and Brett Hall of Carrollton, Kentucky, who completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Psychology

–Sophie Baldwin qualified for the Fall 2020 Dean’s List at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
Approximately 55-percent of Belmont’s students this semester qualified for the Fall 2020 Dean’s List.
