The board for the Tumalo Irrigation District has increased the reward for information leading to an arrest of the person or persons responsible for vandalizing an irrigation pipeline. The reward is now $5,000 for info leading to an arrest an a $25,000 reward for a conviction in the case. On March 27, 2021 the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office received a report of criminal mischief to the new pipeline belonging to the Tumalo Irrigation District. Deputies and detectives from the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office are currently conducting an investigation into the vandalism of the irrigation pipeline. Tumalo Irrigation District first offered an initial reward of $2,500 for information and a $10,000 for a conviction after its new pipeline near Pinehurst Road was found to have been vandalized.
