In the end, Exotic was not one of the 143 people given clemency and pardons from Trump. However, it turns out Lil Wayne and rapper Kodak Black were among those included on the list. Last year, Lil Wayne was charged and pled guilty to one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon during a flight on his private jet from California to Florida. Lil Wayne was first convicted of a felony gun charge in New York back in 2009. Given his past conviction, this latest charge meant that, if convicted, he would’ve faced up to 10 years in prison. Lil Wayne was originally scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28 so the pardon arrived at the perfect time for the rapper.
