Planned closures of the Deck Park Tunnel on Interstate 10 in downtown Phoenix will take place through spring so work crews can complete a $1.4 million project to install a new LED lighting system, the Arizona Department of Transportation announced Monday. Crews will change out more than 3,200 individual lights inside the I-10 tunnel during overnight closures on Friday nights over the next few months. More than 450 LED fixtures have already been installed on the ceiling of the westbound side of the tunnel, according to an ADOT press release.
