As we mentioned in today’s digest, state and local officials are trying to prioritize distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine to make sure that front-line workers and people most vulnerable to complications are vaccinated first.
But where can you find (or eventually find) the vaccine in or near the Park Cities and Preston Hollow?
We took a look at where readers could go as vaccine supplies get replenished. Bear in mind that right now, the state guidelines only allow for 1A (front-line workers) and 1B (medically vulnerable individuals and those 65 and older) to receive the vaccine.
Note: This list is not exhaustive, and we could periodically add new clinics and pharmacies to it as we become aware of them.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is partnering with Austin Street Center and CitySquare to provide short-term respite care for those with medical and behavioral health problems that have been treated at Texas Health Dallas.
The 24-month pilot program, called Health to Home, launched this fall and is meant to break the cycle of homelessness of those with chronic issues.
Individuals experiencing homelessness are often frequent visitors to the emergency room, which is the most expensive portion of the healthcare society. The Leaning Tower of Dallas was born on Feb. 16 when the planned implosion of the former Affiliated Computer Services building didn t fully collapse upon detonation. When the dust settled the building s core, containing the stairwell and elevator shaft, remained upright at an angle. For the next two weeks, people traveled from near and far to take whimsical photographs with the tower in the background. The building finally collapsed in a cloud of dust on March 2 after two weeks of being whacked with a 5,600-pound wrecking ball.

They say the best gifts come in small packages, and these photos prove that it s true.
Nurses at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas surprised families with infants staying in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and special care nursery (SCN) over the holidays with special gifts and portraits.
The gifts for the patients included crocheted stockings, handmade blankets, Santa teddy bears and fully stocked holiday gift bags all donated by former patients and families of the Dallas NICU.
“To see people give back in such selfless ways and continue to support families who are calling the NICU home for the holidays this year is just so heartwarming,” said Thao Nguyen, a registered nurse at Texas Health Dallas.

Photo history and our professional training have taught us the key elements of making a great photo: lighting, timing and touch. We also have learned that the goal is to spend so much time with a subject that our presence is forgotten. That is how visual storytellers for decades have been able to capture previously unseen moments.
