Texas Critical Incident Stress Management Network
Critical Incident Stress Management is a type of crisis intervention designed to provide support for those who have experienced traumatic events. It is composed of multiple components that attempt to address each phase of a crisis situation. Traditionally offered only to first responders, CISM interventions can be implemented with non-traditional first responders, individuals, families, groups and organizations. When implemented properly, this intervention offers significant crisis support.
The Texas Critical Incident Stress Management Network was established in 1992 to assist emergency response personnel who experienced or survived a critical incident, such as a line of duty death, death of a child, multiple casualty or fatality scenes. Purpose
To aid the client in job search activities in order to receive or continue to receive a TANF employment hardship exemption.
To serve as a record of the client s actual employer contacts made during the structured work search period.
Procedure
When to Prepare
Staff initiate Form H2776 with clients who request to receive, or continue to receive, a TANF employment hardship exemption. These clients are, or will be, disqualified from TANF for five years because they have used the maximum number of months allowed in their time limit.
Form H2776-S may be used if preferred for clients who primarily speak and read Spanish.
While Texas Health and Human Services ensures qualified people get the services they need, there are some people who don’t qualify for our services because of their income or resources. These people are often cared for by their families and friends.
There are an estimated 3.4 million family caregivers in Texas who provide day-to-day care for people who are older or who have disabilities.

Infection Control
Healthcare-associated infections (HAI) can lead to significant illnesses and even death among nursing facility residents. HAI are responsible for nearly half of all transfers from nursing facilities to hospitals, leading to between 150,000 to 200,000 hospital admissions each year. When a nursing facility resident is hospitalized with a primary diagnosis of infection, the mortality rate can be as high as 40%, with pneumonia being the leading cause of death.
Older adults who reside in nursing facilities may have diminished immune responses, increasing their risk for developing infections. Other risk factors include:
Close quarter living;
Chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, etc.;

Form 5872 is completed by individuals and organizations applying to contract with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to confirm they read the Pre-Application Orientation Guide required for the following contracts:
Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS)
Day Activity and Health Services (DAHS)
Primary Home Care/Family Care/Community Attendant Services (PHC/FC/CAS)
