Tyson Tuttle, key Austin tech leader, to step aside as CEO of Silicon Labs

Tyson Tuttle, key Austin tech leader, to step aside as CEO of Silicon Labs Tyson Tuttle, a longtime executive of Austin-based Silicon Labs, is retiring and stepping down as CEO as the company doubles down on its Internet of Things business.  Tuttle, who has been CEO since 2012, will step down at the end of the year. He joined Silicon Labs as the company s 10th employee in 1997, and has held a variety of roles in engineering and management including chief technology officer and chief operations officer.  Silicon Labs  current president, Matt Johnson, will transition into the CEO position next year, the company said Wednesday. Johnson came to Silicon Labs in 2018 as senior vice president and general manager of Internet of Things products and became president in April.
