VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas
are seeking information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this killing and dumping alligators in Van Zandt County.
Officials say the alligators were dumped sometime between May 6-7 and left for waste at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 857 and Van Zandt County Road 1507, in Grand Saline near the Van Zandt and Smith County line.
Texas Game Wardens say the alligators were shot in the head.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the responsible party.

SEGUIN, Texas The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office is calling the death of a kayaker on the Guadalupe River on Wednesday afternoon a tragic accident. The man s body was found several hours later.
According to Sergeant Kelly J. Mann, first responders were called out at 1:28 p.m. to the 1100 block of Reiley Road for a missing person on the Guadalupe River. Jason McCoy, 47, of Midland, was operating a kayak when he was seen by family members to go beneath the water’s surface; Mr. McCoy did not resurface, Sgt. Mann said.
Members of the McQueeney Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department – Texas Game Wardens, Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office Drone Program, Seguin Fire Marshal’s Office Drone Program, the Texas Department of Public Safety Aviation Unit, and the New Braunfels Fire Department Dive Team responded to the area for additional search and rescue efforts.

A man reported missing at the Guadalupe River was found dead on Wednesday, according to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.
Jason McCoy, a 47-year-old man from Midland, was found Wednesday evening around 6:21 p.m. submerged in the river. He is believed to have drowned, according to the news release.
Hours earlier, at 1:28 p.m., McCoy’s family called emergency responders after they saw his kayak overturned. McCoy did not resurface, family members told authorities.
McCoy was found after an exhaustive search that included members of the McQueeney Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Texas Game Wardens, Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office Drone Program, Seguin Fire Marshal’s Office Drone Program, the Texas Department of Public Safety Aviation Unit and the New Braunfels Fire Department Dive Team.

Authorities search for two missing boaters at Lake Conroe.
HOUSTON - Authorities say two people were found dead during the search for two missing boaters at Lake Conroe.
The two boaters, said to be a 26-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, have been missing since Friday.
The Montgomery County Pct. 1 Constable’s Office said five people rented a boat on Friday afternoon and went out to enjoy the lake.
While out on the water, authorities say the woman fell off of the boat and into the water. The constable’s office says her boyfriend jumped into the water to help her, but he started struggling too.
