Woman shot while driving on I-75 in Detroit

DETROIT Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Interstate 75 in Detroit late Friday.
Michigan State Police troopers responded to northbound I-75 and Mack Avenue about 10:50 p.m. Friday, April 9 after a witness reported seeing the occupants of two vehicles shooting at one another. Troopers arrived on scene but did not see anything.
About 2 a.m. the following morning, troopers were notified by Detroit Receiving Hospital that a woman had arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. The woman told authorities she had been driving on northbound I-75 when a car pulled alongside her and at least one occupant therein began shooting.

(WXYZ) â Detroit Medical Center has implemented temporary COVID-19 visitor restrictions amid the current surge in Michigan.
No visitation will be allowed for adult inpatients at DMC Harper University Hospital, DMC Heart Hospital, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, DMC Hutzel Womenâs Hospital, DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, and DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, with some exceptions.
One support person per day may visit for the following:
⢠Women with complications related to pregnancy.
⢠Adults with a cognitive, physical, developmental, or mental disability requiring help with communication and/or activities of daily living, exercising power of attorney or court-appointed guardianship, signing consents, and/or keeping the patient safe or calm.

DETROIT (FOX 2) - The Detroit Medical Center announced visitor restrictions at its hospitals Friday, prompted by a surge in COVID-19 cases.
No adult inpatients can have visitors at DMC Harper University Hospital, DMC Heart Hospital, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, DMC Hutzel Women’s Hospital, DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, and DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital.
One visitor is allowed per day for:
Women with complications related to pregnancy.
Adults with a cognitive, physical, developmental, or mental disability requiring help with communication and/or activities of daily living, exercising power of attorney or court-appointed guardianship, signing consents, and/or keeping the patient safe or calm.

The DMC said no visitation will be allowed for adult inpatients at DMC Harper University Hospital, DMC Heart Hospital, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, DMC Hutzel Women’s Hospital, DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital, and DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital.
However, there are exceptions. One support person per day may visit for the following:

The outage is not impacting inpatient care and surgeries are being performed as scheduled. Appointments at our outpatient clinics are being rescheduled until the power is restored.
The DMC said the power outage is tied to a problem with a DTE Energy power line off the hospital system s campus.
