DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday, Motown. Although a healthy amount of clouds are going to be overhead, this afternoon will be much warmer than average. Some wet weather is still possible, but Saturday will not be a wash-out. It will be warm and dry tonight. Very warm, again, tomorrow with a better chance of heavier shower and storm activity. There is a chance of a few mid day and afternoon showers, but many areas will be rain-free. Skies will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny, and it will be hotter than average by a good 10 to 15 degrees. Highs will be in the middle 80s.

We are not alone, in Southeast Michigan. The Eastern Upper Peninsula is just as parched. Showers develop and arrive from the south and west, Sunday night, and it will be mild to cool. Rain will be light and scattered, at first, after midnight. The best chance of widespread soaking rain will be at dawn and at breakfast-time, Monday. Overnight lows will be in the 50s and low 60s.
