Building Trades donate to MS Society
Prior to tip-off of the All-Star Labor Classic, players and event organizers accepted a $150,000 check on behalf of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National MS Society. The 34th annual Philadelphia All-Star Labor Classic raised $150,000 for the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The game took place April 18 at Ridley High School.
The Suburban Girls beat the City Girls, 82-59. The Suburban Boys outscored the City Boys, 111-95.
Discovery Labs Appoints Matthew Snyder as Associate Director, Engineering & Facilities
The Center for Breakthrough Medicines at Discovery Labs, an ecosystem accelerating the path to commercialization for cell and gene therapy companies, has appointed Matthew Snyder to the role of Associate Director, Engineering & Facilities. Mr. Snyder will be responsible for establishing the critical support services necessary for laboratory and manufacturing operations. These include setup of a comprehensive safety program; implementation of equipment tracking and maintenance and calibration management systems; interface coordination between site infrastructure utilities, building monitoring and process control systems; and technical engineering support for process operations and facility design.

Always Best Care Senior Services was singled out as the top corporate fundraising team and top national team in the 2020 Walk To End Alzheimer’s. Because of the pandemic, this year’s walks in Delaware and Philadelphia were individual team walks.
Bryant M. Greene, owner/administrator of Always Best Care of Philadelphia and Delaware and an event sponsor, said, “I’m very proud of our fundraising team for another stellar performance this year, our seventh consecutive top finish. Throughout the past several years, we have worked closely with the Alzheimer’s Delaware Valley Chapter, and we look forward to continuing in our relationship to help them raise funds in the quest to end Alzheimer’s.”
The Delaware Valley Chapter of the Grand Kru County Development Association in the Americas now has a new leadership.
