New Delhi, April 20 : In an effort to allay fear and panic amid the critical Covid-19 situation in the national capital, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that doctors were regularly visiting the dedicated wards in hospitals across the city, wearing PPE kits.
Sisodia s remarks came after several there were complaints of mismanagement in government hospitals, including the shortage of beds and doctors not visiting wards. Directors and health staff are working hard to bring the situation back to normal in Delhi. Doctors are regularly visiting the Covid-19 wards in all hospitals wearing PPE kits. New Delhi: With the increasing need for hospital beds due to the rapidly growing number of COVID-19 cases in the city, the Delhi government has turned the Commonwealth Games Village into a COVID Care Center for the treatment of patients.
The makeshift hospital is equipped with 436 beds including 210 of those having oxygen facility. The centre is open for all and free of cost.
“Delhi Govt s makeshift Covid Hospital at Commonwealth Village, Near Akshardham, is now operational with 436 beds,” tweeted Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday.
“This facility is open to all and free of cost. It s a joint initiative of Delhi Government and Doctors for You ,” he added.

New Delhi, April 20 : Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Chairman D.S. Rana on Tuesday reiterated the urgent need of oxygen for Covid patients admitted in his hospital s ICU, warning they could be in jeopardy if fresh supplies were not provided urgently. During the day time (on Tuesday), the hospital faced tough times due to shortage of oxygen. However, we kept informing both the Centre and the Delhi government. I received a call from Delhi government around 8.30 p.m. and I was assured that the Delhi government will send another vendor with oxygen soon. However, we are yet to receive oxygen so far (till 10 p.m.). Hopefully, the Delhi government will send oxygen soon, he said.

New Delhi [India], April 20 (ANI): Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday informed that only 8 to 12 hours of oxygen is available in most hospitals of the state.
Speaking to ANI, Sisodia said, In many hospitals in Delhi, medical oxygen is available for 8-10 next hours only. If more oxygen is not made available immediately it could affect lives. No action was taken on our request to the Centre to increase Delhi s quota of oxygen.
Sisodia also shared a list of the government and private list with their left oxygen stock.
