Cases of rape and harassment of women in Delhi have increased this year as compared to last year, while the total number of heinous crimes has gone down, as per official data.

Cases of rape and harassment of women in the national capital have increased by around 40 per cent in the first five-and-half months this year as compared to the corresponding period last year, while the total number of heinous crimes has gone down marginally, officials said on Tuesday.
Mild earthquake strikes Jhajjar in Haryana, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR Kumar Kunal
Minor tremors were felt in parts of Delhi, neighbouring Gurugram and other parts of NCR on Monday night as a mild earthquake struck Jhajjar in Haryana. Reports of the earthquake poured in around 10.40 pm with several residents of Delhi-NCR taking to social media to report minor tremors.
The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reviewed the reports and confirmed that an earthquake of magnitude 3.7 on the Richter Scale struck Jhajjar in Haryana at 10.36 pm on Monday. The epicenter, 5 km deep, has been traced to a spot 10 km north of Jhajjar.
