Young man who died in crash near Newquay is with the angels now says family Tim Jones, 22, died in a road traffic collision Updated (Image: Devon and Cornwall Police) A moped rider who died in a collision with a car in Newquay has been named as 22-year-old Tim Jones. Emergency services were called to the A3075 near Gwinnear Fishery at around 4.30am on Monday (26 April). The incident involved a black Mercedes estate car and a grey Aprilia moped. The rider of the moped, Mr Jones, pictured, from Newquay, was pronounced dead at the scene. Tim s family has issued the following statement: “Tim we are sadly missing you. Our hearts died with you. You are forever in our thoughts. God bless you son, you are with the angels now. Love mum, dad and Gemma.”
