Two New Hampshire teenagers are planning to cycle across the country to raise awareness about suicide prevention in a journey where every mile will matter.Mike Mariani and Devon McLaughlin are two 16-year-old best friends who recently ended their 700-mile bike ride around New England at the Chesterfield Fire Department to honor someone who is no longer here. Columbine Landscapes has welcomed a new landscape designer, Devon McLaughlin, to its team.
McLaughlin has a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Temple University in Philadelphia where she learned the importance of native plant design and creating unique outdoor spaces for people.
In 2018 she spent the summer as a landscape intern at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, studying the principles of organic architecture. After graduating, she spent almost two years working on design-build projects in NYC and the surrounding area.
