On Monday, two men and a woman were shot around 3 a.m. in the 700 block of Dewey Avenue, according to Rochester police. Police were responding to a report of a lone male being shot, and instead found the three victims a 51-year-old city man, a 33-year-old city man, and a 32-year-old city woman.
The two men were shot in the lower body and the woman in the upper body, according to a news release from Police Capt. Ryan Tauriello.
The violence this year has included an unusually high number of incidents with multiple people being shot. Police say they also are seeing multiple firearms at shooting scenes much more so than in past years.
