Bees might cause some people to flail their arms when they hear buzzing, but the small, flying insects are vital to our world, economy and lives. Kansas Children s Discovery Center opened its new bee exhibit Friday and allows visitors to explore the life of bees while having fun. The exhibit will be open through Sept. 5. Entry into the discovery center for non-members is $8-$9 and the facility is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday; 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 1-5 p.m. Sunday. As kids enter the room where the bee exhibit has been set up, they will be surrounded by activity stations that allow them to play while learning more about bees.
