MADISON, Wis. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing couple from the Village of Windsor that hasn’t been seen since last week.
According to a news release, Bart, 50, and Krista Halderson, 53, were last seen on Thursday, July 1 at their home.
The release said the couple had planned a trip to Langlade County for this weekend, but family has been unable to confirm if they arrived safely.
Officials said there is no car associated with the couple, but anyone with information should contact the Dane County Communication Center or the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line.

Alliant Energy repairs gas leak in McFarland after road construction crew strikes gas line

MCFARLAND, Wis. Officials responded to a large natural gas leak in McFarland on Thursday afternoon.
Dane County dispatch said it received a call at 2:27 p.m. for a report of a leak at Holscher Road and Broadhead Street. People at the scene told News 3 Now a road construction crew accidentally hit a gas line while working.
Officials said residents were forced to evacuate their homes after high gas levels were detected. No injuries have been reported.
Alliant Energy has since repaired the leak, and residents have been allowed to return to their homes.

MADISON, Wis. A Madison man has been officially charged with a fatal hit-and-run crash on East Washington Avenue over the weekend.
Antoine Johnson, 35, was charged Thursday with felony hit-and-run resulting in death and misdemeanor bail jumping.
According to a criminal complaint, a Madison police officer was driving along East Washington Avenue and saw a man lying in the median lane between North Paterson and North Livingston streets early Saturday morning. The officer said several cars were stopped and multiple people stood around the victim, who was later identified as 30-year-old Sean Crisco.
