The defence team of Christy Bishop, who was charged with murder after Cameron Hill died of stab wounds in Hatfield, has claimed there are several mitigating factors that the jury should consider.
At Cambridge Crown Court last Wednesday, Ms Bishop s legal team agreed with the prosecution that she had been a drug addict since she was a teenager and also at the time of Cameron s death in June 2019.

The court also heard the 38-year-old, of St Peter s Close, had physical issues after being hit by a car in 2010 and mental health issues. Rosina Cottage, for the defence, said this made Ms Bishop vulnerable to manipulation by others .

A churchwarden jailed for killing an author to inherit his estate has made an attempt to have his murder conviction overturned.
Benjamin Field, 30, was jailed for a minimum of 36 years in 2019 for the murder of 69-year-old Peter Farquhar in Maids Moreton, Buckinghamshire.
His barrister told the Court of Appeal the conviction was unsafe as the trial judge misdirected the jury.
The Crown Prosecution Service disputed the claim.

A former church warden serving a life sentence for killing a university lecturer following a campaign of physical and mental torture should have his murder conviction overturned, senior judges have been told.
Benjamin Field, 30, was found guilty of killing Peter Farquhar, 69, in order to inherit his house and money after driving him to think he was losing his mind following a period of gaslighting.
Field, of Wellingborough Road, Olney, Buckinghamshire, was ordered to serve at least 36 years behind bars in October 2019 after being convicted of Mr Farquhar’s murder following a trial at Oxford Crown Court.
