A Lexington family lost everything in a house fire Saturday, and the community is coming together to support their recovery with a GoFundMe.com fundraiser.
Ben Banks, his wife, three children and a family friend escaped the fire unharmed, according to Jacob Thompson, deputy fire marshal for Davidson County. The home, located at 2895 City Lake Road was a total loss. Two of the family s pet cats did not get out of the home and are assumed deceased. The area of origin was the garage, said Thompson. We have not been able to determine what caused the fire, however.
Clarksville Now
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville man has been charged with bringing drugs into a Nashville jail while he was working there as a correctional officer.
Shaquille Patrice, 26, was hired July 1 by the Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and assigned to the Correctional Development Center on Harding Place, according to a DCSO news release.
Working off a tip, DCSO officials searched Patrice when he reported to work Dec. 3. During the search, two packages were recovered inside Patrice’s sock. They included marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and ecstasy, the release said.
Patrice was immediately placed on leave and his credentials were revoked. DCSO fired Patrice the following day, Dec. 4.

Stephanie Raymer was seen on video leaving her hospital room at 4 a.m. Wednesday. DCSO officials said due to her medical condition, their policy did not allow use of restraints.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â The Davidson County Sheriff s Office said an inmate who walked away from her room at Nashville General Hospital is now back in custody.
Officials said 38-year-old Stephanie Raymer, of Brick Church Pike, was booked into the Downtown Detention Center on Sunday and was admitted into Nashville General Hospital at Meharry on the following day.

The Davidson County Sheriff s Office is asking for the community s help in finding a man who s been missing for close to two years.
Shortly before midnight on Jan. 23, 2019, Daniel “Danny” Allan Price left his mother a very long, but disturbing voice message, according to a statement from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Inc.
The next morning, Price and his two roommates were reported missing.
Price was last seen at his home at 133 Pearl Drive in Lexington, NCME said. When the missing persons report was filed, Price s vehicle sat in the driveway at the home. His roommate Christopher Burgess vehicle was missing. That vehicle is described as an older model red S-10 Blazer.
