KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) After more than two months of a constant battle with COVID-19, a Kaukauna woman is back in the comfort of her own home.
Sixty-year-old Nancy Van Dyn Hoven was hospitalized at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital for 84 days.
Friday, she was discharged with a clean bill of health.
Waiting for her outside the hospital were throngs of friends, family and supporters.
For Van Dyn Hoven’s family, her recovery is like a Christmas miracle.
“We’ve been dreaming, absolutely dreaming of this day since day one, whether she had been here for a week, or the 84 days that she was here, we could not wait to bring her home and let her reunite with her dog as well,” Van Dyn Hoven’s daughter, Stacy Arnoldussen, said.
