Daimler delivers 25 new buses to Bengaluru-based Sree Travels

Truck and bus maker Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has announced the delivery of 25 BharatBenz buses (1014) to Bengaluru-based Sree Travels, a leading tour and travel operator.
The delivery marks the first major staff segment bus order for BharatBenz’s 49 seater (3X2) bus in the post-Covid-19 period and also signals gradual revival in the bus market.
“This order demonstrates the customer’s faith in us and points to a recovery in the transport segment. Our BS VI bus portfolio has enjoyed strong acceptance since launch with state-of-the-art features and BusConnect telematics that improve fleet efficiency. The buses have been specifically designed for the comfort, safety and convenience of passengers,” Karl-Alexander Seidel, CEO & Head of Daimler Buses India, said in a statement.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), manufacturer of BharatBenz trucks and buses, has announced signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with 18 leading banks and NBFCs (Non-Banking Financial Company) to offer greater financing flexibility and convenience. The company says that adequate finance schemes have been a key challenge in the commercial vehicle sector and the impact of COVID-19 has made it even more difficult for customers to secure loans. With this move, both new and existing BharatBenz customers can now get easy, tailor-made finance schemes.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the manufacturer of BharatBenz vehicles, has tied up with 18 banks and NBFCs to offer tailor-made finance option to its new and existing customers. “As many CV customers are currently facing financing hurdles, MoUs such as these add substantial choice and value. These competitive financing solutions will help our customers to grow their business,” Satyakam Arya, CEO & MD, DICV, said in a statement.
DICV has signed MoUs with ICICI Bank, SBI, BoB, Axis Bank, Sundaram Finance, YES Bank, M&M Financial Services, Equitas SFB, Tata Capital Financial Services, and Shriram Transport Finance among others. Daimler’s own captive financing brand, Daimler Financial Services India, will also continue to provide finance options to customers.

As the commercial vehicle market shows signs of recovery with a positive growth in November truck sales, DICV is gearing up to meet the upcoming demand.
The company has formalised agreements with 18 leading banks/NBFCs to deliver greater financing flexibility and convenience as adequate finance schemes have long been a key challenge for the CV industry and the impact of Covid-19 has made it even more difficult to secure loans.
