Officials with the Toccoa-Stephens County Animal Shelter reported on the agency s Facebook page that they were called Wednesday to a property in the county about some dogs that needed help.
We mobilized to the location and the owner surrendered 33 dogs to us, the post said. In order to avoid having to euthanize any dogs, due to not having enough space, we made a call to the Atlanta Humane Society. The Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter would not have been able to provide the care and attention that they will need to be well, both physically and emotionally. We are very grateful that the Atlanta Humane Society was there for us!
