ROSIE Travel Group assisted the Health Ministry teams doing contact tracing in the Western Division by providing vehicles to help them conduct the critical exercise.
Managing director Tony Whitton said it was important for everyone to come together during the COVID-19 crisis.
“On Saturday, we were advised by the ministry there was a potential border quarantine breach and considering the short notice, we were asked if we had the availability of drivers and vehicles to assist the ministry with contact tracing,” he said.
It is known the SABC is going ahead despite criticism of the retrenchments. A couple who worked for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) for nearly 60 years together in total have a bleak future after they were retrenched by the broadcaster. Radio deputy sports editor Janet Whitton has written an open letter to the SABC group CEO Madoda Mxakwe, group executive for human resources Mojaki Mosia and news group executive Phathiswa Magopeni requesting they at least show some care.
