Nino is back in the cat room after a long hiatus.
This sweet boy has been between foster families and the shelter for several months. It would be best for him to find his forever home, but another foster would be preferable to him having to stay at ROAR. He needs a family that understands that he is timid, and has the time, patience and care to work with him slowly.
Nino is a rare Snowshoe Siamese, and his beautiful coloring helps him stand out among the others. It’s been said that this breed likes water and will sometimes even go for a swim; however, Nino would absolutely need to decide to do this on his own.

What is a Pibble you ask? It is a term of endearment often used when referring to American pit bulls, or a pit bull mix. Pibbles are intelligent dogs and can be trained to do anything from basic obedience to bomb-sniffing to therapy and service dog work.
Sweetie is ROAR’s Pibble poster dog. Why adopt Sweetie? She adores people as her world revolves around belly rubs, kisses and snuggles. She is happiest when you are with her. Sweetie has another major Pibble physical characteristic the most expressive eyes ever. Just look at her face; how can you not fall in love?

Luisa’s sweet face may be the first wonderful thing you notice, but it won’t be the last. This beautiful girl is more than just a pretty face. She is interested in just about whatever you have to offer her toys, affection and intellectual conversation.
This young cat was a surrender from a nearby shelter. She seemed heartbroken when her person gave her up, and has been waiting patiently for someone to come and offer her a family again. The only offer she might not take well to is other pets. In the shelter, she hasn’t been fond of the cats sharing her space, and we have little knowledge of her experience with dogs.

The ROAR-Donofrio Family Animal Shelter in Ridgefield currently has 20 kittens that will be available in the near future and is expecting to receive more within the month.
Two mama cats recently gave birth while staying with ROAR fosters, producing litters of tabby cats, tuxedo cats, black cats, orange cats and more with lots of different personalities to choose from. The other kittens and moms came to ROAR from other shelters.

As many cats at the shelter tend to do, Bermuda is coming into her own at ROAR. She hasn’t been in the cat room long, but it’s long enough to see some changes in her. She still loves watching birds from the cat trees and getting pets from volunteers, but her independence is showing through.
