IN one of the senate hearings in Washington, DC, in April 2018, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was asked by Senator Dick Durbin where he stayed the night before. Would Zuckerberg be comfortable to share it with him? Zuckerberg understandably said no after a long pause.
Durbin asked Zuckerberg whether he would like to share the names of people he messaged that week. He answered that he would choose not to do that publicly at the hearing.

A major slice of revenue of revenue for Alphabet comes via its subsidiary company, Google. Similarly, a significant portion of Google s revenue comes via search and ads. To accomplish this, the firm uses third-party cookies and trackers to identify user activity across the web, in order to present personalized ads and other suggestions.
This follows Google s announcement from earlier this month that it is phasing out support for third-party cookies. This is a part of the endeavor to make the web privacy-first. To that end, Google has confirmed that once cookies are phased out, it will not be building any identifiers at all to track user activity either across the web or in its products.

British-born actor Sacha Baron Cohen wrote a mock PR statement for Google and YouTube containing his thoughts on why the tech giant should deny its services to former President Donald Trump, declaring that “freedom of speech is not freedom of reach.”
“Hey @Google @YouTube [Google CEO Sundar Pichai], [YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki], seems like you’re struggling,” Cohen wrote Monday on social media. “Virtually every other social media company has removed Donald Trump, but you might let him BACK ON!?”
“I wrote a statement for you. Feel free to use. This is not hard,” he added, along with the hashtag, “Ban Trump Save Democracy.”
