Rome, N.Y. - A mainstay in the Rome community passed away Tuesday.
Bruce Melnick, longtime radio personality, volunteer police officer and bar owner died at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife Dori, his two daughters, and his seven grandchildren.
Melnick owned the Rhine House bar on West Dominick Street for 38 years, where his love for his beloved Buffalo Bills was often on display. As a DJ on several local radio stations, he was known as the Doc of Rock.
