THREE dogs were seized after police conducted multi-agency visit in East Dorset. A spokesperson for Dorset Police Rural Crime Team said: “On Friday June 4, officers from the Rural Crime Team entered a location in East Dorset to conduct a multi-agency visit. “Upon the seizure of a suspected stolen motorhome additional officers from East Dorset Neighbourhood Teams and response teams attended. “A further vehicle suspected to have been used in cross border catalytic converter thefts and three dogs were seized following concerns for their conditions and welfare. “The investigation continues.”
A “muddy brown” Hyundai was seen in suspicious circumstances near to Cranborne on Friday May 7. The occupants of the vehicle were seen looking around homes in the surrounding area. Dorset Police Rural Crime Team has urged for people to remain vigilant as the vehicle could come to notice across the county. A spokesman from the force said: “Please be on the lookout for a small Muddy Brown Hyundai. We have no further information on the vehicle. “This vehicle has been seen in suspicious circumstances around the Cranborne area on the afternoon of Friday May 7. The occupants were spotted looking around properties.
police officer stock image FARMERS have been warned about a sophisticated Ebay scam where criminals pretend to be selling a tractor. At least one farmer has already lost thousands of pounds after making what he believed to be a Paypal transaction before seeing what he was buying. The Dorset Police Rural Crime Team said a local farmer who inquired about a cheap tractor for sale noticed something was wrong. The seller stated he was a farmer operating out of Sturminster Newton said a police spokesman. Not everything appeared as it seemed and enquiries were made. Enquires at the farm the seller was stating he was from revealed that a tractor was not being sold and that the seller was false. It also revealed the pictures on the site were stock photos from a sale a number of years ago.
