Dover-Sherborn brings live performances back with Puffs

With Puffs, live theater returns to Dover-Sherborn High School

With Puffs, live theater returns to Dover-Sherborn High School Taylor Melenovsky, Dover-Sherborn High School senior “HI!!” A familiar greeting echoes across the stage as a troupe of zany and socially distanced characters introduce themselves as the Puffs. Often overshadowed by the other houses (the “Braves, “Snakes” and “Smarts” (do you see where I’m going with this), the Puffs tell their own side of this popular wizarding story through hilarious and clever references intended to dodge copyright infringement.  Whether you are a fan of the universally loved story of a certain wizard boy with a scar on his head or not, Puffs is sure to capture your heart and entertain you just the same. Retold from this fresh perspective, it communicates a powerful message around owning one’s own story and identity while cracking jokes along the way.

Dover-Sherborn students conduct shoe drive for St Francis House

Dover-Sherborn students conduct shoe drive for St. Francis House Common Content             Liza Birmingham, Cecelia Fielding and the junior class officers from Dover-Sherborn High School gathered 600 pairs of shoes, boxed them up, and delivered to the homeless shelter St. Francis House in Boston on Feb. 18.             The Shoe Drive has been ongoing, and the students got permission to leave bins all over town, from churches to gyms, nursery schools, elementary and middle schools.             They are still collecting sneakers/cleats only, to ship to California to Angel Bin (nonprofit), and the students will receive money toward their 2022 prom. It’s not even this year’s prom as they are affected by the pandemic once again this year.
