Police said methamphetamine with a street value of about $20,000 has been seized along with four vehicles, a gun, and $42,000 in cash. Det Snr Sgt Rob Hanna said two women were arrested on Tuesday, a day after four men were charged with a range of similar offences. It s believed the group had strong links to several gangs in the South Island, Hanna said. Methamphetamine continues to cause extreme harm in the community and police will continue to focus and target those selling and pushing this harm in order to hold those offenders accountable.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Hanna said the search warrants followed the arrest of four people in Waihola after the occupants of an alleged stolen car left a crash scene earlier this week.
