Premium Content Subscriber only A Byron Shire woman’s cocaine supply hearing has been delayed because the police may have withheld information that could clear her name, a court has heard. Joanne McKinlay, 55, from Suffolk Park, was last year charged alongside her partner Scott Edward Biber, 57, Broken Head man Michael Robert Birch, 67, and Lennox Head man Philip David Emanuele, 50, over the alleged supply of cocaine in the Byron Bay area. Ms McKinlay has pleaded not guilty to three charges of taking part in the supply of cocaine, deemed supply of 340 grams of cannabis, possession of a prohibited weapon and recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime, the latter of which relates to $1800 cash.

Fake cop in court for frightening harassment of neighbour

Robert Joseph Schwarz, 55, pleaded guilty in Tweed Heads Local Court on April 14 to stalking or intimidation with intent to cause physical harm, and impersonating a police officer. Court documents reveal for the past five years Schwarz and his neighbour had a number of adverse interactions where she had been verbally abused or threatened by him, some of which had been reported to police. The offence before the court occurred at 3.30pm on March 11 where the victim was at home in her unit speaking to a medical receptionist when she heard loud banging coming from her front door.

Premium Content Subscriber only A Nimbin man accused of supplying and manufacturing prohibited drugs after allegedly committing an aggravated break and enter has been granted a lengthy delay in his case. Aiden Christopher Brown, also referred to as Aydin Brown, had his case mentioned in Tweed Heads Local Court on April 16. The 33-year-old faces charges of remaining on enclosed lands without a lawful excuse, possessing a prohibited drug and aggravated break and enter with intent knowing the person there with the intention to stalk and intimidate. Police allege the aggravated break and enter charge occurred in a Yagoona home where he‘d previously been living as part of his bail conditions.
