LAHORE: SACM on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the AJK elections had projected two diametrically opposed narratives to attract voters and international masters, adding that one narrative was intrinsically linked with national security, public welfare, country’s defence as well as the projection of Kashmiris right to self-determination, on the contrary, the political narrative of the opposition aimed at dividing the nation and attacking state institutions.
Talking to media at the DGPR Office here Monday, Firdous said the PTI under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan raised a strong voice at the international fora to project Kashmiris’ right to self-determination as well as exposed Hindu supremacist Modi regime. She said the nation is fully aware that the Sharif family-led PML-N continuously negated the right of self-determination of the Kashmiris and secretly helped the Modi regime by undermining Pakistan’s just stance on the Kashmir issue.

LAHORE: Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Monday that she had submitted her resignation to leave her office to run party’s by-election campaign in Sialkot but was withdrawing it on the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
“The premier has stopped me from resigning from my office and asked me to continue work to highlight the achievements of the Punjab government,” she told a news conference.
Sources in the chief minister’s house, however, claim that CM Usman Buzdar wanted Dr Awan to resign as he was not comfortable with his aid on information. They allege that Dr Awan was even bypassing the chief minister in making announcements, which Mr Buzdar himself wanted to announce.
