“The projected number of those who will be affected is significant,” said DOST Sec. Fortunato de la Peña on Friday, Jan. 29, during a virtual presser hosted by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).
“That’s the reason why (at) the Department of Science and Technology, we have launched a big training program on data science, data analytics, and artificial intelligence,” the secretary explained.
De la Pena said training program is done under Smarter Philippines through Data Analytics, Research and Development (SPARTA).
“This (is provided) free for those who will be interested, particularly, itong mga people that may be affected by the shift from the kind of business that we will have with the entry of artificial intelligence can be prepared or be skilled,” he announced.
