DALLAS, TX (August 15, 2008) – Southwest Airlines announced today that Bob Young joined the Dallas-based airline as its new vice president and chief technology officer (CTO).
DALLAS, TX (August 15, 2008) – Southwest Airlines announced today that Bob Young joined the Dallas-based airline as its new vice president and chief technology officer (CTO).
Young will lead Southwest’s Infrastructure Teams including Change, Test and Deployment, Application and Data Architecture, Tech Services Operations Support, and Tech Services Field Support and Engineering. He joins the Technology family led by Jan Marshall, Southwest’s vice president technology and chief information officer; Laurie Hulin, vice president aircraft operations and enterprise management; and Darren Dayley, vice president customer experience portfolio. Information Technology Services (ITS) will be performing upgrades on the core phone servers on multiple nights, beginning Thursday, July 8 through Saturday, July 17.
The maintenance schedule is:
Thursday, July 8- Saturday, July 10: Upgrades to the 1st half of the core phone servers and Everett phone server.
Thursday, July 15-Saturday, July 17: Upgrades to the 2nd half of the core phone servers.
Core phone servers will require a reboot during this maintenance. If phones are shown as unregistered following the maintenance, please unplug the phone, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in again.
