The Project interviews Brittany Higgins

The Project‘s Lisa Wilkinson last night interviewed former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins who alleges she was raped inside a Parliament House office in 2019. It reported that a man working for then-defence industry minister Linda Reynolds took a 24-year-old female media staffer into Parliament House after a Friday night drinking session in March 2019 and allegedly raped her inside the defence industry minister’s office. The man’s name has not been revealed. Ms. Higgins says she did not make a formal complaint because she wanted to protect her job and the reputation of the Liberal Party. Alarmingly, a follow-up meeting was held inside the same office where the incident allegedly occurred -a decision the Government now regrets.
