Lewis S. Mills High School in Burlington is pleased to announce that senior Taylor M. Clark has been named a Scholar in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC). Taylor is one of only 4,000 college-sponsored Merit Scholars nationwide. In February, Taylor received a letter from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation congratulating her on advancement to Finalist status, “When I learned I was a Finalist, I just embraced the moment for the tremendous honor that it is and was relieved I was still in the running to become a National Merit Scholar.” Then recently, Taylor was officially selected as the winner of the National Merit Fordham University Scholarship.

Today, National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced over 3,100 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities.

Lucas B. Kaye received the National Merit Northeastern University Scholarship, and Emmett M. O Malley received the National Merit Vanderbilt University Scholarship.
Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
