Cata and Codeta taxis on the Paarl to Cape town route were still parked by Wednesday afternoon.  Their leaders are mulling a proposal by MP Bantu Holomisa and SAFTU general-secretary Zwelinzima Vavi.   In the meantime, taxi drivers are watching their income slip away as the dispute drags on.  Congress of Democratic Taxi Association (Codeta) and Cape Amalgamated Taxi Association (Cata) taxis on the Paarl to Cape town route were still parked by Wednesday afternoon.  However, a proposal by UDM leader Bantu Holomisa and SA Federation of Trade Unions general-secretary Zwelinzima Vavi has provided a glimmer of hope.  The two were the latest to try and facilitate a solution, and the thrust of their proposal is an agreement over the contested ranks in Mbekweni, Paarl.
