NBN News | MAN FOUND WITH GUNSHOT WOUNDS ON HIGHWAY NEAR COFFS HARBOUR

A man is fighting for life in hospital after what’s thought to be a targeted shooting near Coffs Harbour. Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Moonee Beach around 1.20am on Wednesday and found a 34-year-old, suffering several shot wounds, in a black Holden ute. The man was treated by paramedics for injuries to his legs and torso, before being taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus in a critical condition. He’s now being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital. Officers have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police believe the victim was driving from Kempsey when he hit a concrete barrier south of Moonee Beach, and then continued driving north.

Critical-care paramedics treated a 16-year-old boy after an immersion incident that was reported at 2.40pm on Marine Parade, where he was swept off the rocks at Snapper Rocks. It is understood the boy had to be resuscitated at the scene. He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

A teenage boy is fighting for life after being swept off the rocks at a popular surf beach. Emergency services were called to Coolangatta, in the Gold Coast s south, on Wednesday afternoon after reports a boy had been knocked into the water amid wild surf.  Council lifeguards pulled the youth out of the water between Snapper Rocks and Froggy Beach shortly after 2.30pm and began CPR before they were helped by NSW and Queensland paramedics, who were nearby.  A 16-year-old boy is fighting for life at Gold Coast University Hospital after getting swept off rocks in Coolangatta on Wednesday  Queensland Ambulance Service Gold Coast senior operations supervisor Adam Flory said the boy was unconscious but paramedics managed to resuscitate him.
