On Sunday, June 20, 2021, at approximately 6:37 p.m. CT, West Point police officers responded to a shots fired call at Timberlane Apartments. They learned that one black male had already been shot and was being taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point. He was later released after being treated for a gunshot wound.
